About Yoram Anekstein M.D

Dr. Anekstein earned his medical degree from the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical School in Jerusalem in 1994.
Dr. Anekstein performed his Orthopedic residency at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center and the Sackler Faculty of Medicine Tel-Aviv.
In 2003, Dr. Anekstein graduated the Spine Fellowship Program in University of Louisville and the Leatherman Spine Institute, KY USA. He returned to Israel thereafter, and received the post of Head of the Spine Unit at Assaf Harofe Medical Center in 2009.
Dr. Anekstein is a lecturer at the University of Tel-Aviv. He is the Chairman of the committee for the Midterm board examination in Orthopedic surgery in Israel and the secretary of the Israeli Spine Society.

Dr. Anekstein has participated in numerous courses

including the AO Spine program. He has had podium presentations at many of the leading spine society meetings, including the North American Spine Society Meeting, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, World Spine, Eurospine, and the AO Spine Symposia.
Dr. Anekstein practice in Assaf Harofeh Medical Center, affiliated to the Tel-Aviv University as well in Assuta private hospital in Tel-Aviv. He professes a conservative approach to spinal problem as long as it is possible.
On the other hand, Dr. Anekstein is experienced in a wide range of spinal surgical procedures. His leading subspecialties are the motion preservation devices TOPS and TOPS-Versalink for the treatment of spinal stenosis and spondylolisthesis as well as pediatric and adult deformity surgery.
